Welcome to Scout Camp Otter Lake, QC!

Located on the picturesque shores of Lac Hughes in Otter Lake, Quebec, Scout Camp Otter Lake is a proud Scouts Canada property within the Voyageur Council, serving Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Open year-round, our camp provides a true outdoor Scouting experience for youth of all ages.

Whether you're staying in the cozy Richardson Lodge, pitching a tent, settling into a Tipi, or building your own shelter, the camp offers flexible accommodations for multiple groups across a variety of well-equipped sites. Check out our camp maps for site details and layouts.

Camp Highlights

🚴 Mountain Biking – New!
We now offer 20+ mountain bikes in a range of sizes, ready for your next trail ride.

🎯 Target Range
Our dynamic target range features three unique zones:

• Shooting Range – Try out pellet rifles or slingshots.

• Throwing Range – Practice with SOG throwing axes.

• Gallery Area – Recurve bows and other archery options.

Challenge yourself on our expanding obstacle course—designed to test agility, coordination, and teamwork.

🚣 Water Activities
Enjoy a variety of flat-water adventures on Lac Hughes, including:

• Canoeing

• Kayaking

• Pedal boating

• Coming soon: Sailing
  Plus, a small sandy beach and a large dock perfect for fishing (note: license required).

💧 Water Supply
Potable water is not available onsite, but can be accessed 24/7 at the Otter Lake Municipal Building, just 1.1 km away:

📶 Cellular Coverage
Excellent cell service is available throughout most of the camp, including 5G. A few low-lying areas may have limited reception.

⚡ Electricity – Coming Soon!
We’re excited to announce that electricity is on its way to the camp! While the exact date is still to be confirmed, a generator is available for rent if electricity is needed in the meantime.

🗑️Garbage (Otter Lake - Transfer Station/ Recycling/ Composting) 

Camp users are responsible to dispose their own garbage and recyclable material.
