Welcome to Scout Camp Otter Lake QC!
Nestled on the shores of Lac Hughes in Otter Lake, QC, Scout Camp Otter Lake is one of the many vibrant Scouts Canada properties in the Voyageur Council region, which spans Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Open year-round, our camp offers a true outdoor scouting experience, whether you choose to stay in the cozy Richardson Lodge, pitch a tent, settle into a Tipi, or build your own shelter. The camp can accommodate multiple groups simultaneously, with a range of sites and facilities tailored to your needs. Check out our camp maps for more details.
Reservations and Bookings
Bookings and registrations are managed through the Scouts Canada Reservation System.
Program Opportunities
Whether you're planning your own activities or using the camp’s resources, there are numerous program opportunities for all groups to enjoy.
Our camp offers a variety of exciting features, including:
Target Range: Our target range is divided into three distinct sections: a Shooting Range, a Throwing Range, and a Gallery area. You can choose from a variety of equipment to engage the youth, such as Recurve Bows for Archery, Pellet Rifles, Slingshots, and SOG Throwing Axes. We extend a special thank you to Cabela's Canada for supporting our Target Range with essential archery and throwing equipment.
Obstacle Course: Our camp boasts an expanding Obstacle Course that provides a thrilling challenge for all ages.
Water Activities: Located on Lac Hughes, our camp features a small sandy beach and a large dock perfect for fishing (license required). You can enjoy a variety of flat-water activities, including Canoeing, Kayaking, Pedal Boating, and soon, Sailing.
Winter Programs: During the colder months, enjoy snowshoeing and other winter activities.

Water Supply
Please note, onsite potable water is not available, but it can be accessed nearby at the Otter Lake Municipal Building, open 24/7.
Cellular Coverage
Our camp offers excellent cellular reception, including 5G, though a few low areas may have limited coverage.
Electricity Coming Soon
We are excited to announce that our camp will soon have electricity. The exact date is to be confirmed. In the meantime, a generator is available for rent if electricity is required.
